Thoughts that bring nothing but tears . . .

Mhmm . . . That's the only thing I can surmise from all my thoughts. Thinking widely, ranging from everything happening around the globe. When the uprising in Tunisia started several weeks back, everyone that will not be idealistic will conclude that what Tunisians are looking to achieve is everything but wild unachievable dream. But with the outcome of the uprising, it is evidential that when people unanimously decides on anything in this world, the sky is just the stepping stone.
And like bush fire in harmattan season, the uprising soon led to the displacement of the over 30 years of dictatorial regime of President Hosni Mubarak in Egypt.
Just as the world is basking in the joy of citizenry emancipation in Tunisia and Egypt, Libyans took the swipe against the tyrannical rule of over 40 years of Col. Muhamman Gaddafi. When I watch footings of the liberation struggle in Libya, tears roll down my often arid face. Looking at numbers of lost souls and several severely injured individuals - mostly civilians; I can not but conclude like President Obama of US that Gaddafi had lost the mandate to rule in Libya.
With the concentration of brutal killings of civilians (all in the name of holding unto power) in oil-riched regions of the country; Gaddafi realised that after loosing his assets in European countries, loosing these oil-riched regions will guarantee his displacement.
. . . To be continued
